Superman’s Redemption, New POIs, and a Demon Takeover
After over 12 hours of server downtime, Fortnite returned with its second Superman-themed update—and it might be one of the biggest of Chapter 6 Season 3. From a major buff to Superman’s Mythic to the return of Marvel’s Fantastic Four and a map-wide storyline progression, Epic Games is pulling out all the stops this summer.
The Kryptonian Form Mythic is now officially worth picking up. Epic boosted its health by 500, increased heat vision damage by 71%, added an extra minute to the timer, and buffed siphon by 350%. These changes finally make Superman feel like the powerhouse he’s supposed to be.
Even better? The Fortress of Solitude is now a fully explorable POI. It’s a one-to-one recreation of the structure from the latest Superman film and includes loot both inside and out. And that’s not the only map change—Supernova Academy has been destroyed in what looks like an off-screen battle with Daigo, hinting that the heroes may have been defeated.

Storyline Developments and Upcoming Events
Daigo’s influence is spreading fast. His base at Demon’s Domain is now surrounded by gigantic black spires, forming a defensive ring that gives off clear endgame boss energy. New quests even allow players to build a monument to the fallen heroes of Supernova Academy.
Meanwhile, Blitz Royale has entered a new phase called Boon Bonanza. Classic augments may be gone, but boons have taken their place. New boons include:
- Icy Slide – Gain icy feet when sliding
- Sprint Jump – Works like Soaring Sprints
- Zero Chance – Grants dashes when breaking enemy shields
More themed weeks are on the way, including Void Week, Mega City Reborn, and a cryptic event called Blitz Boss Rises. The next few weeks promise major gameplay shifts—and possibly more live events.
Fantastic Four and More Collabs Revealed
In the background of the Superman hype, Marvel is preparing their next move. With a new Fantastic Four movie releasing this month, Fortnite will introduce Reed Richards, Susan Storm, The Thing, and Johnny Storm as fully-featured skins—complete with back blings and pickaxes.
Though the skins are currently encrypted, leakers are hopeful we’ll get high-quality models—not just reskins like the Thunderbolts. Meanwhile, the Rocket League 10-year anniversary is about to take over the game. Expect a giant soccer ball on the battle bus, Octane vehicles returning, and a special challenge that unlocks the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 for free.
Map Secrets, Skin Teasers, and OG Updates
As usual, Epic is teasing what’s to come with in-game hints. A new piece of graffiti from Hope shows tentacles emerging from the ground, hinting at a demon invasion in Season 4. In OG mode, Dusty Divot is evolving, hop rocks are being transported, and most importantly—The Visitor has escaped the meteorite. A reboot of the 2018 Rocket Launch live event is set for July 26, and this time Epic promises a safe zone so nobody can break the kill record during the event.
Other highlights from the update include:
- Mo, a new spirit-themed original skin, with a painted dusk shirt
- Sunny’s Icon Series bonus style added due to poor sales
- Companions delayed until Season 4 — yes, even Krypto
- Close Encounters returns as a full shotgun-only LTM
- Yellow Jacket starter pack is back after 1,120 days
If you log in now, you’ll also get the Blitz Axe for free, completing the set with the Blitz Knight and Prowler cosmetics. Epic also dropped a free Frosted Skyline Pack with new wraps through the Epic Games Store, making it a good time to clean up your cosmetic collection.
