Tilted Towers Returns with Classic Loot

Tilted Towers has always been the heart of Fortnite, and it’s back in its true OG form. Players dropping in will find themselves in familiar chaos, looting as many chests as possible. One of the most highly requested items has also made a return—mini shields. After being absent for nearly two months, they are finally back, although still somewhat rare to find.

Not only that, but Fortnite has introduced a new damage trap that can be thrown down in battle. However, in 2025, traps are not as game-changing as they once were, so while it’s a neat addition, it may not have a major impact on gameplay.

New Skins: Sparkle Diva, Night Conqueror & More

The rarest Battle Pass skins are making a comeback, but with a twist. Players won’t be able to purchase the original Black Knight or Sparkle Specialist, but they can get brand-new versions—Sparkle Diva and Night Conqueror. However, one skin is noticeably missing: Blue Squire. Instead, Fortnite has replaced his spot with Cuddle Team Leader, leaving some fans unimpressed.

Despite this, the update brings several new skins, including the Crow Guard set, a new Monkey skin, and a Fish Warrior known as Takumi of the Tides. Casual players also have something to look forward to with new outfits like Aari Paul, Simone, and even a female version of Malik from Chapter 3.

Classic POIs and Secret Quests

OG Season 2 isn’t just about Tilted Towers. Junk Junction and Shifty Shafts are also back, looking exactly as they did in their prime. Shifty Shafts, in particular, hasn’t been seen since Chapter 3 and has returned to its original location. Additionally, Snobby Shores, Starry Suburbs ruins, and Haunted Hills have made their way back to the game.

Exploring the map can lead to hidden quests that grant XP without notifying you. For instance, hitting enough flares with a Boogie Bomb or visiting specific locations like the motel at night can unlock XP rewards. One of the most exciting references is in Tomato Town, where using a Chug Jug can trigger a nod to the classic Fortnite meme: “10 kills on the board right now.”

New Weapons & Themed Battle Pass Changes

Several classic weapons have been improved in this update. The Silenced SMG now has both purple and gold variants, and the Tactical Shotgun now drops in purple rarity. Players can also find the Hollow AR, a powerful Mythic weapon that was unvaulted with this update.

Additionally, the return of campfires is a welcomed change. In past seasons, healing was more difficult due to their absence, but now they’re back to help players recover during matches. The Shield Keg has also returned, though some players question its usefulness, given the abundance of water sprites providing similar healing effects.

Collabs, Cosmetics & The Future of Fortnite

Fortnite is known for its collaborations, and this season is no exception. Here’s what’s coming:

  • Jujutsu Kaisen – A new wave of skins, potentially including Sukuna, could drop soon.
  • Billie Eilish – Despite being a recent Festival Pass skin, she is set to debut in the shop.
  • Marvel – A new wave of skins is expected in celebration of the upcoming Captain America movie, possibly featuring Red Hulk.
  • Star Wars – Lightsabers are rumored to be added to Creative mode for the first time.

Additionally, Fortnite Crew subscribers will notice that Crew outfits have now been given a unique “Crew Series” rarity. While currently applied to recent skins, it’s expected that older Crew packs will be updated with this classification as well.

What’s Next? Spy-Themed Season 3 on the Horizon

The biggest tease for Fortnite’s future comes from the new NPC, Goldie. While she sells weapons like the Hunting Rifle, she also hints at “breaking into vaults,” possibly setting up a spy-themed Season 3. Given Fortnite’s history of spy seasons, this could bring back vaults, henchmen, and high-tech gadgets for players to enjoy.

For now, players have until March 25th to complete the OG Battle Pass. However, Fortnite has made it significantly harder to level up, requiring players to gain three levels to progress one tier. While this change has frustrated many, it ensures that the OG season will be a long and rewarding grind.
