Fortnite’s Biggest Week: Fantastic Four & OG Live Event

A Legendary Live Event Is Returning — With a Twist

This week in Fortnite is shaping up to be one of the most action-packed in the game’s history. Between a mysterious new live event in Fortnite OG, the arrival of the Fantastic Four, and a surprise crossover with Rocket League, players are getting hit with nonstop content.

One of the biggest highlights? The return of the iconic “Blastoff” rocket event — but with a brand-new twist. While it may look like a nostalgic rerun, there’s a major surprise tied to Blitz Royale and Battle Royale that fans absolutely shouldn’t miss.

Unlike the blue rifts we’ve seen in the past, this time a fiery orange-red rift will appear — one that seems identical to the one tied to Blitz mode and the Mega City takeover. The plot thickens with the return of red butterflies and hints of a connection between the corrupted Spirit Realm and the OG island.

Free Rewards, Rocket League Crossover & Summer Road Trip

While the OG event is cooking up the next storyline shift, the Summer Road Trip event has officially launched — and it’s packed with rewards. Similar to last year’s Cybertruck update, this year’s main ride is the real-life Corvette ZR1, an exotic sports car worth nearly $200,000.

Players can complete new daily quests over 10 days to unlock cosmetic items like sprays, emoticons, and best of all — a free Fortnite skin. However, it’s not unlocked through Fortnite alone.

Octane cars now spawn across the Fortnite map, and in an awesome nod to Rocket League, players can even interact with the signature Rocket League ball — complete with an explosion effect when you score a hit.

Fantastic Four Finally Arrive in Fortnite

After years of teasers, the Fantastic Four have officially landed. Players can now get a first look at the iconic team — Susan Storm, The Thing, Johnny Storm, and Reed Richards — ahead of their release in the Fortnite Item Shop.

The new Fantastic Four Cup allows top players to unlock the skins early, while those who play more casually can earn the “Clobbering Time” spray and “Flame On” emoticon just by surviving 120 minutes in matches.

Epic may even bring back the Fantastic Four’s destroyed logo or introduce the Baxter Building as a new point of interest, similar to how they added Superman’s Fortress of Solitude last week. While the rumored “fantastic fists” and “psionic orbs” turned out to be cosmetic pickaxes and not mythics, fans are still excited for the team’s debut this Wednesday.
